On January 30th 2017, The Greater Baltimore Cares Leadership Team, Armando Seay and Kathy Adams Seay attended the 2nd annual gala and fund raiser for the National Cares Mentoring Movement. The event was held at the historic Cipriani Ball Room in New York City. Honorees for this years event included: Entrepreneur Russell Simmons, Lonnie Bunch of the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History & Culture and Charles D. King, CEO of MACRO. The event was hosted by former NBC and MSNBC Host and Anchor Tamron Hall and Author and Educator Dr. Eric Michael Dyson. The evening was graced by the presence of luminaries from the world of film, music, broadway, politics, business and philanthropy. Some of the attendees at the sold out event included Singer Maxwell, Actor Hill Harper, Actor Danny Glover, Actor Cicely Tyson and many more. Sponsors included Delta Airlines, American Express, Nation Wide Insurance, Merck, Key Bank, AARP, Casey Family Programs and AT&T amongst others.
