Inspired by and affiliated with Essence Magazine Editor Emeritus Susan Taylor's National Cares Mentoring Movement, Greater Baltimore Cares has one mission, saving our children.
Greater Baltimore Cares was created as a result of its founders’ association with Susan Taylor and the nation wide support for The National Cares Mentoring Movement of major organizations and individual supporters such as Oprah Winfrey and many others
Our goal is to save a generation of kids that must not be forgotten.
Our Mission is to provide:
- STEM and specifically cybersecurity skills training for k-12 and College students
- STEM and cybersecurity skills training and internships with a focus on encouraging more young women to consider education and careers in STEM and cybersecurity
- Mentoring in career and life skills
- Mentors from various career fields from government, industry and academia
- Lectures and seminars from experts in the field of STEM and cybersecurity
- Hands on experience that builds employable skill and the confidence
- On demand and live skills training modules from world class cyber skills partners
